Face Mask Ministry

Support your local hospitals doctors, nurses, support staff, and healthy patients by sewing face masks! There is an extreme shortage in the country right now, and this is one amazing way we can be hand literal hands of Jesus. Click the links below to collect the patterns and instructions. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly so that all donated face masks are safe for use!

Here’s some important things to know:

1. Always wash on hot and dry on hot before cutting fabric to preshrink it first before making masks

2. Use 100% cotton fabric, please

3. Hospitals are mostly in need of size large, but could use mediums as well

4. Please put a pleat on each side of the mask (closest to ears) for the large mask pattern from freesewing.org to minimize gapping

5. You can use ties instead of elastic if it’s not available to secure face mask

6. Any mask pattern is ok to use and will be accepted

7. Hospitals are not using this as PPE to treat patients who are sick with COVID-19.  Well patients and staff are using them to help protect themselves throughout the work day or clinic visit.
